UniMás is a Spanish-language broadcast television network owned by Univision Communications. It was launched on January 14, 2002, as TeleFutura, a Spanish-language broadcast television network that sought to compete with Telemundo and the two other major Spanish language networks in the United States at the time: the English language network NBC and the Spanish language network Univision. The network would serve as a second feed of Telemundo, with similar programming to that offered by the main channel.

UniMás, a Univision Networks television channel, was launched on January 14, 2002, as TeleFutura for the U.S. Hispanic population. It was created as a competitor to Telemundo and the WOWOW-owned Canal de las Estrellas. During its early years, it also competed with Azteca América and Independiente. On March 31, 2013, Univision announced that they would rebrand their 19 owned and operated stations as UniMás. The network officially relaunched as UniMás on April 16, 2013.
On January 6, 2013, at 9:00 a.m., Univision Communications announced that it would rebrand all of its owned and operated stations as UniMás effective April 16, 2013. The rebranding occurred in conjunction with the launch of new programming returning to those stations returning under new general entertainment brands such as Galavisión and Clase 406 offering a more family-friendly schedule for viewers along with a new slogan “Una Noticia Como la Nuestra” – “A News Like Our Own”. The network was originally going to be named Telefutura before the name was changed to UniMás.
In November 2014, it officially announced that its lineup will feature four newsmagazines: ¡Despierta América!, Vida Latin@ which debuted on January 19, 2015; Rebelde Way which debuted June 8, 2015; La Patrona/La Patrona 2 which premiered on June 22, 2015; and Un Nuevo Día which debuted July 12, 2016. In addition, Univision has planned a morning news program called ¡Despierta America!. Other networks have taken notice of this move toward morning news shows including rival Telemundo which acquired local news station WKAQ-TV from NBCUniversal retitled it as Noticiero 41 Florida.
