It is managed by the School Dade of Miami-Dade County which decides the superintendent and head of the department.   • Open your internet browser and enter this official website- www.dadeschools.net
  • Once you are on that web page tap on the tab ‘’Parents’’.
  • The next page that will be displayed now will be Dadeschools.net Parents. 
  • Tap on the option ‘’Create Account’’. 
  • You will now see the M-DCPS Acceptable Use Policy page.
  • Read the policy. Now if you agree with the policy then tap ‘’I Agree’’ and then ‘’Next’’.
  • Now you are on the Parent Portal Account Registration System page.
  • You are given four sections that you need to complete correctly. 
  • In Section 1 you need to enter your first name, middle name, and last name. 
  • Next comes Section 2 wherein you will be creating the password of your account which must be 8 characters long. This password will be used every time you open the portal.
  • Kindly after entering the password, enter it again to confirm.
  • In section 3, write your email address, and then just like the password write it again. 
  • Now in the last action which is Section 4, you will need to enter the code that will be appeared on your screen only.

How Can You Add A Student To The Parent Portal?

The basic Parent Portal will feature some general District news and related events. There you can see a message that reads ‘’No registered students found’’. Once you add a student you will be able to access the Electronic Gradebook within 24 hours. Apart from the grade book, you will also be able to see the attendance, academic information, testing of your child(ren) that you would add in your Parent Portal.

These are things that you will need to add- 

  • Student’s M-DCPS student ID.
  • 6-digit PIN number of the parent.
  • Date of birth of the student.
  • Bith place state/ country of the student
  • Zipcode

Now come to the Parent Portal-

  • Tap on the option ‘’Add or Remove Student’’.
  • Enter the Student ID 7 digit number. 
  • Enter the Parent PIN 6 digit number.
  • Enter the home zip code.
  • Now type your date of birth. 
  • You will be asked this question ‘’Student born in the United States’’?
  • You can answer either yes or no.
  • You will be presented the drop-down menu, choose the date of birth and then click the ‘’Click to add’’ option. 
  • The name of the student will appear under the section ‘’Registered Students’’.

How Can You Remove An Existing Student From The Parent Portal?

  • In the Registered Section, you will see a red cross symbol which you need to tap. 
  • You will be asked ‘’Are you sure you want to remove student ”——’’? To confirm if you actually want to remove the student. 
  • Tap on the ‘’Okay’’ option if you are sure about it.
  • Click on the cross symbol on the top rude side to exit the ‘’Registered Students’’.
  • In order to exit the Parent Portal, you can tap on the option ‘’Log out’’.

-Yes, these electronic devices are provided by the district. The students studying in elementary school get to receive the laptops. Whereas students studying in senior high school get the tablets.

  1. A username, that is the ID of the student.
