Steps to Canvas Student Login

To begin with the Canvas Student Login first you have to keep in mind that if you do not have a Canvas account, you have to create one before you can log in.

If your institution uses Canvas, you will most likely already have an account and will need to just accept the course invitation. Your login credentials will be emailed to you by your institution. When you accept the course invitation, you will be prompted to create an account if you do not already have one.

Furthermore, you can create your own account if you are not using Canvas through your institution. The code which will link you directly to your course will be provided to you by your instructor. Canvas will also email you the code to join the course directly. To get started, in a browser type canvas.instructure.com into the address bar.

QUICK NOTE– To create your account, you must have a join code from your instructor or institution.

Now select the link “Need a Canvas account?”

Next, you will see a tab “I’m a student”. Click on it.

Now, you have to complete the registration. Please fill in the information carefully.

Firstly, in the Join Code field provided, enter your course join code. This code will be emailed to you by your instructor or institution in addition to your email invitation to join the course.

You will be asked to fill in your full name in the Full Name area provided. Then, you have to enter your username.

Now, provide your password carefully in the ‘Password’ box, and again go for entering your password in the Confirm Password field to confirm it.

Steps to Log In to the Canvas Community with Your Canvas Student Login

The community can technically be viewed and searched by anyone. However, in order to participate, you must first log in. If you have a student Canvas account you can log in with those credentials easily. You can access the community in two ways: via web and via mobile.

If you are having trouble logging into the Instructure Community, try logging out of Canvas and then logging back in. If this doesn’t work, there could be a problem with your username and password. How to Login to Canvas via Smartphone?

If you’re accessing the community from a mobile device, the easiest and efficient way to do so is through a mobile browser.

Please keep in mind that currently, logging into your Canvas Mobile App does not immediately log you into the community.
