How about a channel that can take you to Spain just by you sitting on the couch? Well, it isn’t a joke, there is a network for you to bring possibly the best experiences. Latino Kids TV is an American Spanish language broadcast television network owned by LATV International, LLC. The network primarily carries a mix of original and imported music, talk, and variety series aimed at Latino teenagers and young adults between the ages of 12 and 17.
The network was launched on March 7, 2007, as the first programming format created specifically for Hispanic teenagers ages 12–17. The network was founded by Gustavo Arellano, with most of the shows being produced by Televisa USA, Inc., a joint venture between Televisa S.A. de C.V. (the largest media company in Latin America) and Univision Communications Inc. At its launch, it was branded as “Telemundo Network” to distinguish itself from Telemundo’s previous programming formats targeted at older audiences. It is also known as Latina TV because most of its programming subjects are aimed at Hispanic women 18-35 years old who are bilingual or who speak both English and Spanish.

The network was founded in 2006 by Emilio Romano, who is also the CEO of LATV Networks. The network’s programming is targeted towards the bilingual Latino community. LATV’s programming is sourced from various local affiliates that are owned by LATV Networks, LLC, which operates five Spanish-language television stations across the United States. These stations are owned and operated by DYI Media Group (formerly known as L&L Broadcasting) through LATV Networks’ subsidiary, LATV Stations. The network is headquartered at LATV Stations, Inc., located in Hollywood, Florida, near Miami.
LATV is distributed primarily to cable television providers throughout the United States and Latin America. LATV’s programming consists primarily of telenovelas, music videos, and talk shows featuring celebrity guests, actors, and musicians such as Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin. LATV carries short programs consisting of clips from its telenovelas, along with music videos and other programming targeted at Hispanic teenagers and young adults.
Unlike many broadcast networks, LATV does not air commercials (with the exception of promos) or network breaks during its programs. LATV has no national broadcast affiliates; however, it is available on cable providers throughout the US via the en Español feed of The Hispanic Network (formerly known as LATV/Telemundo). The network’s programming is also streamed online internationally via their website.
Latino-focused television channels have been relatively rare in the United States. This has been attributed to the relatively small size of the Hispanic and Latino U.S. population, as well as low ratings for such networks. So, let us begin to activate LATV on Roku.
